If you are under the age of 13, USS Columbia requires parent or guardian permission before we can collect your personal information. We do this by asking for your parent or guardian’s email address. Note to Parents

The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to provide our visitors and users with information about our website, which we hope will promote informed choices and decisions about how to use the site, as well as protect our users’ privacy.

When a child under the age of 13 attempts to register to use the website, we will collect an email address for the parents and send an email to parents. Parents will be given 1 week to accept their child’s registration. If the parent refuses membership, we will delete your related information from our database. If we get permission, we will register the child to use the website. If we do not receive a response, we will assume permission is declined.

Once we get permission, we will assume that it is alright for a child to use all areas of the website, which includes the ability respond to messages in the chat room and forum.

Your permission grants USS Columbia the right to post images uploaded by your child on our website. Please read our Terms and Conditions of Use for more information on the content and materials that USS Columbia allows to be posted on our websites.

If you suspect that your child has offered personal information in error and/or you wish us to remove their profile from our database, we are happy to do so.
